Mareeba Shire Council has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Officer (Design) to join and support our Technical Services team.

The Technical Officer (Design) is responsible for providing technical advice, support and oversight on development applications and department operations to ensure compliance with Council’s Planning Scheme, policies and forward-planning objectives as well as engineering and environmental design standards and objectives.

On an average day you will work with CAD/12D and other computer mapping systems to contribute to producing designs for medium to large civil engineering projects with minimal supervision, carry out routine design office duties, advise on development applications and aid in data collection, assessment and program development for a wide variety of issues primarily related to roads, drainage and sewerage infrastructure.
