We have some good news to brighten your day in lockdown. Beach Park playground in Sandringham has just opened, so children and seniors within 5km can check out this brand new playspace.

Climb to the top of the tower to spy approaching pirates, get up close and personal with our two aquatic sculptures, Octo-pus and Chops the fish. Hold on tight and fly/spin through the air on the rope carousel or bounce the trampolines. And we haven’t forgotten the young-at heart, with yet another seniors’ exercise area to keep a spring in the step.

Beach Park playground is located in the foreshore reserve in Sandringham, just south of the rotunda and Bay Road.

This new playground is part of the Playground Improvement Program and Council’s commitment to upgrading all 61 of Bayside’s playgrounds by 2025. Read more about our Playground upgrades project on Council’s website.
