Local Government Elections for the Shire of Cuballing will be held on Saturday 16th October 2021. The Electoral Roll for this election will close at 5pm on Friday, 27th August 2021 .
To be eligible to vote in local government elections, you need to be either a resident, an eligible non-resident owner or non-resident occupier of rateable property in the Shire of Cuballing or a nominee of a body corporate that owns or occupies rateable property in the Shire of Cuballing.
Local ResidentsA person who lives at an address in the Shire of Cuballing and is correctly enrolled on the State electoral roll for that address in the Shire of Cuballing is automatically enrolled to vote in the Shire of Cuballing elections.

Non-residentsNon-resident owners and non-resident occupiers of rateable property in Shire of Cuballing are NOT automatically enrolled. Non-residents who wish to vote in Shire of Cuballing elections or corporate bodies who wish to nominate people as nominees should apply to the Chief Executive Officer of Shire of Cuballing. Application Forms are available from the Shire Office or at www.cuballing.wa.gov.au.
2.1 Non-resident owner of rateable property
A non-resident owner is a person who owns rateable property in Shire of Cuballing but lives outside the Shire of Cuballing.
To be eligible to be on the Shire of Cuballing electoral roll, a non-resident owner must be enrolled on the State or Commonwealth Government electoral roll for the address where they live.
2.2 Non-resident occupier of rateable property
A non-resident occupier is a person who leases or occupies rateable property in the Shire of Cuballing but lives outside the Shire of Cuballing.
To be eligible to vote the person must be enrolled on the State or Commonwealth Government electoral roll where they live, and have a right of continuous occupation under a lease, tenancy agreement or other legal instrument of the property within the Shire of Cuballing.
The right of continuous occupation must extend for a period of at least 3 months at the time the person claims enrolment.
Nominees of a body corporateA body corporate that owns or leases property in the Shire of Cuballing may nominate as electors two people who do not reside in the Shire of Cuballing and are eligible to vote in State or Commonwealth elections in respect of their residential address.
