Recipients of the annual Central Highlands Regional Council Art Awards – Emerald have been announced at the official award presentation on Friday night.
More than 150 artworks had been entered across the seven categories.
Mayor Kerry Hayes congratulated the recipients and said the quality of work marked the Central Highlands as an art destination.
‘Congratulations to the deserving award recipients and thank you to all of the artists who submitted an entry, the work on display is outstanding,’ Mayor Hayes said.
‘Our prestigious awards program is a nationwide competition celebrating the diversity of the arts and raise the profile of both local and non-local artists.’
All entries will be exhibited at the Emerald Art Gallery Monday to Friday between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm until 15 September 2021.
‘I encourage people to head down to the Emerald Art Gallery for a visit.’
