Esplanade Dining Precinct closed to traffic until

Cairns Regional Council wishes to advise that the Esplanade Dining Precinct, between Shields and Aplin streets will be closed until 5pm on Wednesday 11 August.

The closure will allow completion of works during the COVID-19 lockdown.

Traffic controllers are on site to provide access for delivery and service vehicles where possible.

Motorists are asked to observe and obey traffic controllers and signs advising the changes to normal pedestrian and  traffic conditions, and follow any directions and detours.

Motorists are also reminded that the speed limit along the Esplanade, from Shields St to Aplin St has been reduced to 20km/h. Signage reflecting the change to the speed limit are in place.
