We are currently seeking an experienced HRIS Officer to join our friendly and supportive People & Performance team on a fixed term part-time basis.

We are currently seeking an experienced HRIS Officer to join our friendly and supportive People & Performance team on a fixed term part-time basis. We are looking for someone to be based in our Moranbah office however we are flexible on location (within the Isaac Region) for the right candidate. The HRIS Officer will be responsible for the maintenance, development, implementation, and enhancement of all HR Information Systems (HRIS) to improve service delivery, organisational efficiency and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

This role will include: Administering HR information systems, databases and spreadsheets, ensuring confidential record management, maintenance and updating of employee records. The preparation and analysis of highly complex HR/Payroll metric/statistical data to aid with the reporting requirements of the department. The maintenance and troubleshooting of HRIS applications / systems in relation to employee and organisational data. Preparing and developing procedures and manuals. Collaborating with the ICT department with the installation, configuration and implementation of HRIS software. Providing high level, efficient administrative support to the People & Performance department. The successful candidate will: Be a hands-on enthusiastic and passionate HRIS professional, who is excited by the opportunity to make a positive impact in Council and our communities. Have demonstrated experience in a similar HRIS role within a fast-paced environment with a strong customer focus, and a sound understanding and knowledge of working with such HR applications / systems. Possess excellent analytical skills in order to creatively problem solve, resolve technical issues and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Possess sound knowledge of human resources information and record management systems. Have the ability to handle matters with both confidentiality and sensitivity. Be a team player with excellent communication skills that operates in a flexible and fast paced manner in a team environment. For this position we offer: Salary $35.47 - $38.64 per hour plus allowances; Nominally 32 hours per fortnight; Fixed term contract until 31 December 2021; 9.00AM to 1.00PM Monday to Thursday; 5 weeks annual leave pro rata @ 17.5% loading; 12% super in accordance with Council Policy;
