Minor Flood Warning for the Lachlan River at Jemalong Weir, Condobolin Bridge and Euabalong Issued at 1:45 pm EST on Thursday 12 August 2021

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT JEMALONG (re-issue to correct a typo) River levels along the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir fell below the minor flood level (3.50 metres) on Wednesday afternoon 11 August. Minor flooding continues to ease along the Lachlan River at Jemalong after river levels peaked on Monday 9 August with minor flooding. The main flood peak along the Lachlan River is approaching Condobolin Bridge where river levels may reach the minor flood level Thursday night into Friday. The Lachlan River at Euabalong may reach the minor flood level (6.40 metres) on Sunday 15 August. River levels along the Lachlan River at Hillston Weir are rising slowly. Predictions will be provided once the upstream peaks are observed.
Lachlan River downstream of Wyangala Dam to Jemalong Weir: Minor flooding is occurring along the Lachlan River. The Lachlan River at Cottons Weir peaked at 4.38 metres on Saturday 07 August, with minor flooding. Cottons Weir fell below the minor flood level (3.50 metres) around 3:00 pm Wednesday. The Lachlan River at Jemalong Weir Downstream peaked at 7.46 metres Monday 09 August and is currently at 7.39 metres and falling slowly, with minor flooding.
Lower Lachlan River downstream of Jemalong Weir to Euabalong: Minor flooding may occur along the Lower Lachlan River downstream of Jemalong Weir to Euabalong. The Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge is currently at 5.14 metres and rising. The Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge may reach the minor flood level (5.20 m) Thursday night into Friday. The Lachlan River at Euabalong may reach the minor flood level (6.40 m) during Sunday 15 August.

Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.
