Minor Flood Warning for the Lachlan River at Jemalong Weir, Condobolin Bridge and Euabalong Issued at 12:30 pm EST on Monday 16 August 2021

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT CONDOBOLIN AND MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT EUABALONG The Lachlan River at Jemalong fell below the minor flood level (7.20 metres) around 08:30pm on Friday August 13. The Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge exceeded the minor flood level (5.20 metres) around 04:30am on Saturday August 14. River levels are approaching their peak with minor flooding continuing. The Lachlan River at Euabalong may reach the minor flood level (6.40 metres) during Tuesday 17 August. River levels along the Lachlan River at Hillston Weir are falling though anticipated to rise again when the main flood peak from Condobolin arrives in a few weeks time. Predictions will be provided once the upstream peaks are observed, though minor flooding is not likely at Hillston Weir.

Lower Lachlan River downstream of Jemalong Weir to Euabalong: Minor flooding is occurring along the Lower Lachlan River downstream of Jemalong Weir at Condobolin Bridge and may occur at Euabalong. The Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge is currently at 5.26 metres and steady, with minor flooding. A minor peak is expected in the Lachlan River at Condobolin Bridge during Monday. The Lachlan River at Euabalong may reach the minor flood level (6.40 metres) during Tuesday 17 August.

Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.
