Building on the success of York Dollar$ last year, the Shire is again working with local businesses and community organisations to roll out a shop local program.
Council recognises the importance of stimulating our local economy in order to protect our highly valued local businesses and has allocated spending within the 2021/22 budget to provide an economic stimulus fund in the form of York Dollars.
The dollars are being offered as an incentive for early payment of rates and can be spent at any local participating business.
Pay your rates and charges in full by 15 September 2021 and receive a 1.5% discount off your rates (excluding other charges) and $50 in York Dollar vouchers to spend locally. For those paying by instalments, if you pay your first instalment by 15 September 2021, you can claim $20 in York Dollar vouchers.
Look out for business displaying the York Dollar$ signage on their premises and on their Facebook pages or visit www.york.wa.gov.au/yorkdollars to see a list of participating businesses.
