Members of the Liverpool community are invited to nominate outstanding citizens, groups, and businesses for Liverpool City Council’s 2022 Australia Day Awards.
Mayor of Liverpool Wendy Waller said the awards give the community the chance to step back and honour positive role models in business and beyond.

Mayor Waller said the awards are more important than ever to encourage local heroes and focus on their initiatives and achievements this year.

Previous Australia Day Award winners include Paul Sillato, who has been a volunteer for Clinches Pond Environment Group for more than 17 years. He received this year’s Fraser Environment Award.
Liverpool’s 2021 Citizen of the Year Elizabeth Habib was honoured for decades of service to the community, including her involvement with community organisations, her leadership at Quota International Liverpool, her work with charities and tireless fundraising.
