MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR - LAKE CARGELLIGO LOCATION OF CONCERN 21 Aug 2021 12:07 PM -

As many of you would now be aware we have received notification that Lake Cargelligo has become a COVID-19 location of concern.

I would like to take this time to reassure the community that Council is working in partnership with Murrumbidgee Local Health District and NSW Health to support our Lake Cargelligo residents during this uncertain time.

As we have seen over recent days the Delta virus can be spread easily which is why we must all be vigilant with our checking in and out of businesses, workplaces etc, wear face masks, social distance, practice good hand hygiene, get tested, vaccinated and comply with the public health orders.

I understand that this is an anxious time for many, however I ask that you all remain vigilant, but calm. Please get tested now – the mobile testing clinic is open in Lake Cargelligo today and again tomorrow at the MPS. You don’t need an appointment, just turn up.

Council is closely monitoring the evolving situation and will continue to keep you informed. Below are helpful links that will assist you in staying up to date.

We are all in this together, and we all have a role to play in protecting our community. So please get tested, vaccinated and comply with the Stay-at-Home orders. (Getting tested and vaccinated is a reasonable excuse to leave home under the current Stay-at-Home order)

Stay safe.
