With increasing community reliance on digital platforms to conduct transactions and seek information, Coffs Harbour City Council has launched a new corporate website to make life easier for residents, ratepayers and visitors alike.
With so many customers self-serving through Council’s website the time is right to take the experience to a new and improved level.
Council’s Group Leader Customer Services Jay Kirkman said the project has been over a year in the making.
“Taking a diverse business like Council that is on the front line of community services and facilities online has been a significant whole of organisation project.
“Our population is growing and more tech savvy than ever before so we need to keep pace with that and keep ahead of the game – while still providing traditional service options for customers not familiar with technology
“Refreshing over 600 web pages and making sure the customer journey was super easy was our top priority. What did assist was the website data from our old website, this told us what the top tasks items were for customers – from lodging a DA to finding a form or checking on scheduled roadworks.
“Our new platform means our customers’ experience will be more mobile friendly, more accessible. Customer first and digital first.”
The searchable A-Z lists make it easier to find a form, policy or process you are looking for, from changing your address to requesting a building plan. The enviable quality of life enjoyed across the Coffs Coast will be made more readily available for all to see with the new ‘What’s around me?’ feature mapping parks, beaches, events, venues and other facilities. Where to take kids for a play or dogs for a walk will be just a click away.
You won’t miss any news with the Newsroom featuring all the latest stories and the homepage also provides seamless links to other Council related websites.
To continually improve our website, we have included feedback forms at the bottom of most pages. We will also be conducting usability sessions with community members to keep looking for ways to make it easier to do things on our new site.
We welcome you to experience the new website here.
