Rosslare Court Reserve is getting an upgrade – and we want your ideas to shape this space.

Wyndham City wants to create a new district-level play space at the Hoppers Crossing reserve to the North of the existing Hawthorn Drive Playground and is proposing play equipment, a half-court, picnic area and landscaping.

Wyndham City Active City portfolio holder Cr Peter Maynard said this part of Rosslare Court Reserve boasted great views of Skeleton Creek while being out of the flood zone.

“Council wants to create a space that you want to spend time in and makes you proud of where you live,” Cr Maynard said.

“This upgrade will elevate Rosslare Court Reserve into a district-level park, meaning it will cater not only for Hoppers Crossing residents but also the wider Wyndham community.”

“District play spaces often include more play opportunities – such as added play equipment and nature play, half-courts, picnic shelters and pathways – to encourage families to spend more time outdoors.”

“We are seeking your input so we can gain a better understanding of what you like about the reserve, how you currently use it and how it should be upgraded.”

“Your feedback will be used to help shape the concept plan for both the play space upgrade and existing play and picnic area at Hawthorn Drive Playground.”

This upgrade is part of Council's ongoing plan to address ageing infrastructure within several Wyndham reserves, as detailed in the Play Space Strategy and Open Space Strategy.
