Munro Martin Parklands (MMP) will be capped to four events per month under an updated usage policy.
Adopted by Council today, the Arts and Cultural Facilities General Policy was updated following a review of the existing policy to broadened usage of the parklands, including allowing third party hire, subject to Council approval.
The new policy states that events at MMP will be capped at four per month, which will ensure community use remains the primary use, while allowing for the delivery of high calibre events.
The policy also states that all ticketing will be facilitated through Ticketlink, and that Council will manage all liquor regulations under the Queensland Liquor Act 1992.
