Celebrating Early Childhood Education Day

It’s Early Childhood Educators' Day!  We’re giving a huge shoutout to our 269 educators and support staff across our nine Long Day Care centres and Pre-schools and Family Day Care centres who provide the best possible care and early education for over 1120 local children.

This day recognises and celebrates the work of Australia's educators in the early learning sector. The wonderful work educators do contribute to the wellbeing and healthy development of the children in their care.    Today is a chance for service operators, families and their children, and state and national bodies to say “thank you”.

Now, even more than before, we recognise the length our front-line educators go to to continue the early education experience for local children during the difficulties of the pandemic. Our services remain open, providing essential care and support for children and families and our educators are like a lifeline for many families.

Early Childhood Education is an essential service and gratifying career. Hear it from Kat, one of our dedicated team members who has progressed her career since joining Council three years ago.

We’re currently looking to expand our workforce and encourage those interested in starting a career in Early Childhood Education to apply for a position with us. We currently have full-time, part-time, casual and traineeship positions available and we are always looking for new Family Day Care educators.
