Congratulations to Our Community

3 September, 2021

It has been almost a fortnight since the first Covid positive case was announced in the Lithgow Local Government Area.

As Mayor of Lithgow Council I am proud of this Community for their diligence in keeping us all safe.

“It has been a rough few weeks and at times the tension has been palpable, but our community has united, and we are getting through this Covid crisis which is gripping our community.” Lithgow Mayor acknowledged.  “People are doing the right thing and staying at home and getting tested if they are not well.”

“Don’t forget about those who may be alone, and I encourage everyone to reach out to those who may be struggling in this time. Check on those who may be alone with a phone call or face time call. Modern technology is amazing, and it does wonders for those in isolation. Seeing a smiling face can make someone’s day.” said Mayor Thompson.

“I remind the community to keep up the good work and to continue the way we are going so we can get through the other side of this!”

“I am so proud to be part of this resilient, versatile community! The Mayor concluded.

Council encourages anyone who needs help at this time to contact Lifeline Australia – 13 11 14. Â
