Blackall combined agents yarded a total of 1963 head of cattle last Thursday.

Cattle were mainly sourced locally from Blackall, Longreach, Jericho and Aramac.

The fat cattle market saw an increase of about 10-20c/kg.

Bulls over 450kg made 346c, average 311c.

Cows under 300kg sold to 288c, average 288c, cows 300-400kg sold to 356c, average 311c, cows 400-500kg made 360c, average 327c, and cows over 500kg reached 388c, to average 365c.

Heifers under 220kg made 600c, average 496c, heifers 220-280kg sold to 544c, averaging 466c, heifers 280-350kg reached 454c, average 374c, heifers 350-450kg made 430c, average 368c, and heifers over 450kg sold to 392c, averaging 376c.
