Noreuil Park closed by high water

Access to the park will remain off limits until the water falls to a safe level.

The Riverdeck Café, which has been providing takeaway services, will also close until the river falls.

High water has also forced the closure of Mungabareena Road between Doctors Point and East Albury until further notice.

Council is working closely with water authorities to monitor the water levels, as high discharges from the Hume Dam continue.

The duration of the high water levels is not yet known but we’ll work to reopen the park and Mungabareena Road as soon as it safe to do so.

Our other riverside parks remain open at this stage but anyone exercising in the area is urged to keep clear of flood waters and drains while the situation continues.
