Sunraysia residents have an opportunity to help shape Mildura's next key growth corridor by contributing to the Mildura East Growth Area Strategic Framework Plan.
The plan relates to the area between Nichols Point and Irymple, and from Cowra Avenue to Irymple Avenue. It will also take in a number of smaller areas at the edge of Mildura.
Mayor Jason Modica said the completed plan would guide future land use, the types of houses or buildings that can be established and public spaces as the growth area is developed.
"This will serve as an incredibly valuable piece of work, providing long-term vision and direction for how this exciting next key growth corridor for our region should develop," Cr Modica said.
"Importantly it will also guide future residential development, including planning for the efficient delivery of drainage infrastructure."
He said landowners and residents are invited to provide their thoughts on what would be important to them in this growth corridor, and how they'd like it to develop over the next three decades.
"Whether it's which parts of the growth area should be developed first, what natural features or views should be protected, or more broadly, what are the main issues you think need to be considered in developing this growth area - this is the sort of information we're asking our community to contribute," Cr Modica said.
Residents and landowners can provide feedback in three ways.
