Critical works ongoing at Middlemount Swimming Pool, Update #1

Isaac Regional Council wishes to advise residents the Middlemount swimming season will be delayed until further notice.

The swimming pool infrastructure requires further investigation as water circulation is insufficient and ongoing water loss is being experienced.

While the exact cause is yet to be determined, water sanitation and public health requirements do not permit the use of the pool until such time as these issues are remedied. 

Council’s contractor has experienced unavoidable delays and is expected to be on site on Thursday with further updates to follow.

Council will update the community once new information comes to hand.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused and thank the community for its patience as safety at all Isaac aquatic facilities remain a priority.
