Draft Filling Policy Councillors agreed to adopt the Draft Filling Policy, which provides guidelines for filling activities in Yass Valley. In addition, the newly elected Council will hold a stakeholder forum, an investigation of options and a review in six months. This is to ensure Council has a policy in place while Councillors seek additional feedback.

Residential subdivision in Yass A 57 lot subdivision at 3 Burrai Place, Yass was approved at the meeting. The development will feature a centrally-located park managed by Council.

Alcohol-Free Zone A proposal to re-establish the Alcohol Free Zone in the main street of Yass will be placed on exhibition. If no significant objections to the proposal are received, the Alcohol Free Zone will be established for four years. This will be clearly displayed by new signs.

Riverbank Park Adventure Playground Two concept designs for the Riverbank Park Adventure Playground will be placed on public exhibition. Both designs offer a variety of activities to engage a broad age group and feature a flying fox, a passive open space, amenities, BBQ facilities, a fitness station and new seating.

Electric vehicle charging stations Councillors supported the Tesla Supercharger proposal for six car parks in Yass Park and Ride. The chargers will be fitted with universal connections.

Environmental Upgrade Finance Trial Council will soon offer Environmental Upgrade Finance for building owners in Yass Valley to make environmental upgrades such as solar installation, lighting upgrades, cladding improvements, water or waste efficiency upgrades. Loans will be provided by a third-party lender, such as Bank Australia or Credit Suisse, and repayments will be collected by Council. The trial will last for two years.

Rates and Charges Donation Policy Community organisations such as Vine Church, Yass Lawn Tennis Club and Gundaroo Soldiers Memorial Hall will receive a donation toward their Council rates and charges for another 12 months. The Rates and Charges Donation Policy will be reviewed after that time by the newly elected Council.

Hume Link Community Consultative Committee The Director of Planning and Environment has been nominated for the HumeLink Community Consultative Committee until the newly elected Council nominates a Councillor as a delegate.
