Lithgow LGA COVID Vaccinations increasing!

24 September, 2021

The COVID-19 Pandemic continues to be a challenging time for the community but there is light at the end of the tunnel as the Lithgow LGA vaccination rates continue to increase.

With the NSW Government announcing their roadmap to easing of restrictions once the state reaches 70% vaccinated, now is the time to get vaccinated.

For the protection of the whole community we need to get to 70-80% full vaccination, this will help protect yourself, your family, your friends and your workmates.

“I would like to thank each and every person in the Lithgow LGA that has come forward to be vaccinated. Not only have you taken steps to protect yourself and your loved ones but have helped us get one step closer to being able to live a somewhat normal life again” Said Mayor, Ray Thompson.

“For those that haven’t been vaccinated I urge each and every one of you to make an appointment. All the GP’s in the LGA are offering vaccinations of both the AZ and Pfizer as well as some pharmacies”.

The Lithgow LGA’s current vaccination rates as at 20 September 21 according the NSW Government shows that Lithgow is sitting at 80% first dose and 40% second dose, 90% of Wallerawang has received their first dose and 50% are fully vaccinated, Portland has received 70% first dose and 40% second dose and the Capertee/Glen Alice/Glen Davis area is 60% first dose and 30% fully vaccinated.

Our Community and small businesses need your help to re-open. A COVID-19 Vaccination is everyone’s best defence. Protect our community and let’s do our best to reach the vaccination rates so that we can once again enjoy what our LGA has to offer.
