Campbelltown residents will be able to enjoy the outdoor pools at the Gordon Fetterplace Aquatic Centre and Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre when they reopen from Monday 27 September.
Residents can book 1.5 hour sessions to attend the leisure facilities and use the outdoor pools and splash parks.
“It’s fantastic to see our pools opening up for people in time for the school holidays but we ask people to be patient as we operate under health guidelines and transition over time back to the full operation of our leisure facilities,” Mayor George Brticevic.
“Cleaning of our facilities and testing of pools has been increased to ensure they are safe for use,” Cr Brticevic said.
Visitors will be required to check in to the facilities, staff will wear masks and attendance will be capped to ensure there is one person per 4m2 in line with current public health orders.
Public gathering limits for outdoor exercise or recreation apply for people attending the facility.
Indoor facilities including gyms and steam rooms will remain closed for the time being.
Toilets and change rooms will be open.
