ESSENTIAL ENERGY VEGETATION MANAGEMENT PROGRAMResidents are advised that Essential Energy will shortly begin vegetation management in Grenfell, Bimbi, Caragabal, Quandialla and surrounding areas as part of its routine maintenance on more than 200,000km of powerlines covering 95% of NSW and parts of Southern Queensland.
Vegetation Manager, Mark Daley said “Keeping the power on is only possible with a safe and reliable electricity network. Managing the vegetation that’s growing close to powerlines plays a crucial role in maintaining reliable power and community safety.” Mark said.
Weather permitting, the vegetation program will commence in October 2021.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT CATS?Weddin Shire Council, in conjunction with RSPCA NSW and Weddin Landcare, is currently seeking insight from the community as part of its Keeping Cats Safe at Home project.
The aim of this 4-year behavioural change project is to improve care for pet cats through responsible pet ownership and to protect wildlife from cat predation. It is hoped that, by encouraging pet owners to keep their cats within the boundaries of their property they will stay safe from harm, especially from car accidents, disease and attacks from other animals.
Residents are invited to share their views about cats and how they are managed in the Weddin Shire by completing a short online survey. The survey is accessible with the following URL https://redcap.sydney.edu.au/surveys/?s=3MR4LAEYPR
Submissions will be received up until 31 October 2021.
