Mareeba Shire Council has an exciting opportunity for a casual Customer Service Officer to join our Customer Service team.

Our Customer Service Officers provide complete, accurate and timely advice and assistance to customers for a broad range of services via Council’s call centre and service counter.  The casual Customer Service Officer provides coverage for the team during periods of staff leave or peak periods, such as rates or renewals, to ensure service standards are maintained.  This position is a true casual position with no structured hours or days of work so flexible availability is essential.

To meet the expectations of Council and the needs of the community, you will need to demonstrate excellent oral and written interpersonal and communication skills, be able to touch type with speed and accuracy and be able to prioritise and manage your workload in times of high customer demand.

Benefits include:

Casual position LGOA Level 2/1 – $40.33 per hour including 25% casual loading Pro-rata Mareeba Allowance 10% superannuation
