Right now, an exciting opportunity exists for two permanent, full time Labourers to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate in Clermont. As part of the Parks and Recreation Department, this position will report to the Team Leader - Parks and Recreation and is responsible for carrying out grounds maintenance of community usage areas including sportsgrounds, parks, open space and cemeteries for the Engineering and Infrastructures across Isaac Regional Council.
ABOUT YOU
Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role Knowledge and experience in basic mechanics, general maintenance and/or gardening Basic written communication skills and the ability to discuss and resolve issues/problems politely and respectfully Relevant certification for the operation of plant & equipment, horticulture and poison operations Construction White Card C Class Open Australian Drivers Licence, or LR Class Drivers Licence (desirable) Ability to pass a pre-employment functional assessment and behavioural testing Genuine enthusiasm for luscious green grass, and beautiful well-maintained parks and open spaces for our community to enjoy!BENEFITS
Salary $53,985.26 - $55,068.62 per annum + allowances Locality allowance (Between $45.50- $91) per fortnight Construction workers allowance ($68 per 76-hour fortnight) And more! Nominally 76 hours per week, over a 9-day fortnight (Fortnightly RDO’s in accordance with Council policy) 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading 12.5% Super in accordance with Council policyPrior to making the decision to apply, please note that accommodation is not offered for this position.
