Wollondilly Council is now accepting applications for up to $500 from local organisations, community groups, churches and charities who would like to bring some festive cheer to the Shire this holiday season.
The funding is available to eligible Wollondilly groups to assist with the cost of hosting Christmas activities or delivering small infrastructure projects such as the installation of Christmas lights and decorations.
Mayor Robert Khan said, “Given the impact of COVID restrictions we know that Carols by Candlelight events may not be able to be held this year, so we are making the funding available for small infrastructure projects as well.”
“Where appropriate, we also encourage organisations to partner together to deliver larger projects in towns and villages across the Shire.”
“We want to have some fun as we emerge out of lockdown and help bring our community together to celebrate the festive season,” he said.
Applications are available on Council’s website and close on Friday 29 October 2021.
