The Shire of Augusta Margaret River has announced the second round of the Community Organisation Operating Grant.

This second grant round will be for environmental projects only and is designed to provide a financial contribution towards the operation and administration costs of organisations that provide long term, strategic services within the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.

Nick Logan, Director Sustainable Development and Infrastructure at the Shire of Augusta Margaret River believes that the grants are a vital part of the Shire’s commitment to valuing, protecting and enhancing the natural environment.

“The Shire is dedicated to protecting the unique natural biodiversity of our region. We know our community is passionate about the environment and we want these grants to support organisations that will help protect our healthy rivers and coastal habitats,” he said.

Grants will be considered for registered businesses and incorporated, not-for-profit organisations within the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.

A total funding pool of $38,500 is available for this second funding round.

Applicants can apply for a maximum of 25% of the organisations annual operating budget per annum. A maximum of $24,750 (inc GST) will be considered per organisation for the remainder of the 2021 Financial Year with a maximum of $49,500 (inc GST) in future years.

The deadline for the second round of the Community Organisation Operating Grant is 2pm Friday 30 November 2021. Applications must be submitted by completing a 2021-22 Community Organisation Operating Grant Round 2 Application Form.
