Isaac Regional Council advises residents of a planned water outage affecting the following Moranbah streets on Archer Drive, Belshore Street, Harris Court and Cobb Court on:
Tuesday, 2 November 2021 Between 8am and 12noon Weather permitting
This outage will allow for installation of new valves as part of water main upgrade works.
This will affect approximately 63 properties in the area.
This water main is required to replace the existing AC water main with a 125mm HDPE water main on a section of Archer Drive.
A new valve pattern will allow isolation to occur along Belshore Street prior to the cut in of the new water main.
Council has engaged contractors Nixon Plumbing to undertake the project.
Nixon Plumbing will make contact with residents at the affected properties prior to these works occurring.
When the new water main is installed and commissioned, water connections will be changed to the new HDPE Water Main and the old AC Water Main decommissioned. Residents will be advised when the changeover will occur to minimise inconvenience.
Once the water supply has been restored, residents may experience instances of discoloured water.
If this occurs, Council recommends flushing tap water for up to five minutes or until the water becomes clear.
Council also recommends that any flushing water be used on your garden or lawn.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding as this important work is carried out.
If you have any inquiries or concerns, Craig Nixon can be contacted on 0412 712 560.
