Regarding The Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre Ltd (MAAC) Considering much conjecture and conversation around the re-opening of the MAAC, Moree Plains Shire Council needs to reiterate that the pool complex is still in the hands of the receivers. Under the ASIC laws, the receivers hold all the cards and when their roles and responsibilities are fulfilled, they will then return the keys and running of the centre back to Council. Council is aware of the community concern; however, ASIC rules are very strict and there is no interference permitted.
