Baw Baw Shire Council is offering residents free green waste disposal at selected transfer stations to help prepare their properties for the upcoming fire season.
Council’s annual free green waste disposal service will take place across a selection of dates in November and early December to assist households with property maintenance for the upcoming fire danger period and following the recent extreme weather.
Households may drop off up to 3 cubic metres of acceptable green waste including tree debris, branches, foliage, weeds and grass clippings.
Residents should note, all green waste must be delivered in residential vehicles and trailers. Green waste that is disposed of in commercial vehicles will be charged at the standard rate outlined in the Transfer Station information guide.
This offer is available for all residents including ratepayers and tenants over selected dates.
