Over 550 swap cups have been delivered to 22 local cafes since our Swap Cup program kicked off in October 2020. All together an estimated 112,000 takeaway coffee cups have been saved from landfill annually thanks to local businesses using the new system.
Each business has also saved an estimated $700 in packaging so it’s great for their bottom line too.
Our Swap Cup program sets up local businesses with free stock of reusable swap cups and guides business owners to work out which system will work best for them.
The first two rounds of free stock went like hot cakes, and we’re ready to open Round 3. If you are a café owner, or know a café that you think would like to get involved, encourage them to register today.
Swap cup systems are a great way for businesses to reduce their single-use plastics, show they are COVID-safe, as well as being convenient for customers with order ahead apps.
