Wyndham City has again partnered with Life Saving Victoria to bring residents a patrolled Werribee South Beach for a six-week period from mid- December to late January.

In the build up to Summer, Council will also be hosting a range of seasonal events commencing Saturday 20 November, running through to Saturday 11 December.

The Werribee South Beach Sessions will be activity-based and with a swim safety focus for Wyndham residents of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Wyndham City Mayor Councillor Adele Hegedich said: “The Werribee South Beach Summer Sessions combined with the important patrolling from Life Saving Victoria will make Wyndham the place to be during the warmer months.”

The Werribee South Beach Sessions feature beach clean-ups, sport activities and photography sessions.

“The range of fun and informative events will help residents swim safely throughout summer right here in Wyndham,” Cr Hegedich said.

Swim between the Red and Yellow Flags Read the beach safety signs to check swimming conditions Speak to lifeguards on patrol before swimming Swim with a friend, buddy or companion If in trouble, stay calm and raise your arm above your head to signal to patrolling Life Savers
