Have you heard? Northern Beach Council recently launched a new resource that maps all things creative and cultural on the Northern Beaches - Culture Map Live. Think specialised designers, architects, creative agencies, new media, creative production, specialist manufacturers, dance studios, and more.

Being listed helps businesses and practitioners get discovered by the community. So far, there are more than 1,080 entries, and they are growing.

Resident and award-winning author & editor Zena Shapter is one of those. She is excited by the potential of the resource and recommends other creatives who are looking for new networks or wanting to be discovered to get on the map.

"The Northern Beaches is home to a thriving cultural and creative ecosystem. We creatives have known that for a while, but now the Culture Map Live can visually demonstrate it to others," Zena said.

"It's great to see the complete spread of creative activity and offerings throughout our community, all in one space..

"It's sure to lead to an increased visibility of our buzzing creative sector and thus open us all up to opportunities to connect."

Zena is not alone. Others who have listed their practice and business on the new resource are fans too! We’re hearing:

"Great initiative! Thank you for helping our business be noticed."

"Great idea to have all creative and community activities incorporated in one area and available for the general information of the Northern Beaches community."

"Thanks for supporting the local creative businesses."

Want to get listed but worried about privacy?

If you work from home and are concerned with listing your home address, don't worry. You can list your business by suburb instead, and not mention your street address.

You can also include a link to your website to help the community and potential customers learn more about you.
