Opportunities for our Creative Young People

26 November, 2021

Lithgow City Council and the NSW government are proudly working together to present the Youth Opportunities program for our young people. Create Lithgow is an opportunity for local residents between the ages of 12 and 25 to explore the creative industries.

Mayor Ray Thompson is excited about the opportunity presented to our young people. “This community has our fair share of talented people. We’ve had many successful musicians and artists come out of Lithgow and these young people are getting a chance to fast track that success with access to industry professionals”.

The latest in the series of workshops that explore all aspects of the creative industries is being held this Saturday 27 November from 11:00am-4:00pm at Mitchell Conservatorium, 4 Wylde St Lithgow.

Young people will participate in a taster guitar workshop with local guitar guru Brenden Coleman. They will also explore all things percussion with a drumming workshop held by local musician/producer Dave James and will learn about strutting the boards with Lithgow’s own film star “Snowy” Glen Snow.

Even if you haven’t been to any of the workshops you are still welcome to come and join in with this one.

This is a totally free event and includes lunch.

Young people will need to register to book their spot on Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/create-lithgow-artists-musicians-creatives-tickets-214480174977
