Burnie Christmas Parade - Cancellation

7BU & Sea FM Burnie regretfully announce that the Christmas parade in its revised format scheduled for the 12th December at the Wivenhoe recreation ground will no longer be going ahead.

This cancellation is not COVID related.

Action General Manager Harry Badcock would like to thank the administration staff who put in many hours raising awareness to endeavour to gain support for the Christmas parade in its revised format. The cut off for float registrations was moved back an additional two weeks to give the Burnie community more time to register their interest. Unfortunately we saw only a small amount of float registrations.

We are disappointed as we were really looking forward to hosting the Christmas parade in its revised format, however due to the lack of numbers we have had to make the call that it will no longer go ahead,

7BU & Sea FM will still endeavour to put on community events leading up to Christmas
