Isaac Regional Council advises motorists of the following road closures as a result to significant road damage from recent rain:

Russell Park Road in the Winchester and Gemini Mountains area Round Road in the Kilcummin area.

Russell Park Road is currently closed at 9 Mile Creek due to severe damage to the concrete drainage floodway structure and it is deemed unsafe to travel across until further investigation and restorative works can be completed.

The road will be trafficable for access to local traffic only from both the intersections of Kenlogan Road and the Peak Downs Highway through to 9 Mile Creek but not across the floodway.

Round Road is also closed due to significant pavement loss, silt build up and scouring along the full length of the unsealed section as a result of recent rainfall in the area. Access is restricted to local traffic only until works for pavement repairs can be scheduled.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and to adhere to any Road Closure signage in place.

Council also reminds the travelling public and wider community to check for regular updates on road conditions regarding wet weather and road closures. This information can be found on the Isaac Region’s Disaster Dashboard http://dashboard.isaac.qld.gov.au.

Council apologises for any inconvenience or disruption these may cause.

If you require further information please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
