Free parking in Freo with PayStay
City of Fremantle 9 Dec 2021

Visitors to Fremantle are being offered an early Christmas present of up to three hours free parking.

Simply park in any City of Fremantle off-street car park using the PayStay parking app, take a stroll to Walyalup Koort and scan the QR code inside the Walyalup Civic Centre, and up to three hours of free parking will be automatically applied when you stop your PayStay parking session.

The free parking offer will be available from tomorrow, Friday 10 December, right through until Christmas Eve.

The QR code will be displayed in the Walyalup Civic Centre from 9am–5pm, and visitors can access one free parking session per day.

Fremantle Mayor Hannah Fitzhardinge said with up to three hours of free parking there was even more reason to visit Fremantle this festive season.

“Fremantle is the best place to be on a hot summer day to relax by the ocean and be cooled by the famous Fremantle Doctor,” Mayor Fitzhardinge said.

“In recent times there’s been an explosion of brilliant new hospitality venues in Fremantle, along with an incredible range of independent shops where you’ll discover unique gift ideas that you just won’t find anywhere else.

“There are also plenty of fun activities and festive events happening in Walyalup Koort and across the city as part of our 12 Days of Christmas program.

“Parking is already up to 20 cents per hour cheaper if people use the PayStay app, it’s pay-as-you-go so you don’t need to pre-load credit, and now you can park for up three hours for free.

“And the best part is that after soaking up the festive atmosphere while enjoying three hours of free parking in Freo, you can do it all again and get another three hours of free parking the next day!”
