Want to keep your children active and entertained these summer school holidays but stuck for ideas?

Bookings for Council’s Vacation Care Program are now open, with plenty of activities and fun things to see and do from 4 to 21 January 2022.

Children will experience a different and exciting new adventure each visit with fascinating excursions and centre-based activities, all supervised by Council’s qualified and experienced vacation care educators.

To secure your child’s place, parents are advised to book before the closing date of Monday 13 December 2021. The summer program will operate from one location at Springfield Pavilion, Springfield Avenue in Croydon.

To attend Maroondah Vacation Care, all children must have a completed online enrolment. Once enrolled, you will be able to book your child into the program using the BookMe section of the parent portal.

Councillor Tasa Damante said Council’s Vacation Care program was a high-quality, flexible and child-focused program that aimed to support busy working parents during the school holidays.

“As a parent of four young children, I know how challenging it can sometimes be to find ways to keep children occupied during the holidays,” Cr Damante said.

“Maroondah’s Vacation Care team pride themselves on providing a program of recreational and stimulating activities that are the right mixture of fun, adventure and learning. It means that children want to be there, and parents can feel reassured that their child is in a safe and secure environment,” she said.

“Parents can book for one day or all 14 days, which provides them with that important flexibility,” Cr Damante said.

The program is available for primary school-aged children, with activities run between 8am and 6pm (except for weekends) at Springfield Avenue, Croydon.
