All you need to know about council’s closures for the 2021-22 festive season.
Administration buildings and libraries
Council’s administration buildings and libraries will close from 12.00 pm 24 December 2021 up to and including Monday 3 January 2022. They will reopen on Tuesday 4 January 2022.
Capricornian Bank
The Capricornian Bank branches located in the Springsure and Capella offices will be closed for the same period.
Waste
Roadside rubbish collection services will continue as normal. Emerald Transfer Station, Lochlees and Blackwater Landfills will be closed on Christmas Day. No alternate waste disposal will be provided.
Aquatic centres
Council recommends contacting local aquatic centres for opening days and hours over the festive season.

Council’s social media pages will not be actively monitored during the Christmas break.
