People living with disability, their families, carers, service providers and businesses are being encouraged to help Council develop its next Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP).
The DIAP outlines the strategies and actions that Council will take over the next four years to create a community that supports accessible and inclusive environments for people with disability.
The community, service providers or anyone who works or studies in Campbelltown are encouraged to fill out a survey to help Council shape the DIAP and set the priorities for the plan.
“We are committed to breaking down barriers for those in our community who live with disability and creating a city that is inclusive to all,” General Manager Lindy Deitz said.
“Over these past four years, we’ve seen many fantastic outcomes from our first DIAP, including inclusive play equipment at our new and existing playgrounds so that every child can play in a safe and comfortable environment that meets their needs,” Ms Deitz said.
“This survey is a chance for people to identify gaps in making our community a place for everyone so I encourage people to fill it out, whether you’re someone who is living with disability, a family member, service provider or friend,” she said.
The survey will close on 2 February 2022.
