COVID ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR COUNCIL FACILITIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT’S PUBLIC HEALTH DIRECTIVES

The Queensland Government’s public health and social measures linked to vaccination status direction will take effect from 5am on Friday, 17 December 2021.

The Queensland Government’s public health and social measures linked to vaccination status direction will take effect from 5am on Friday, 17 December 2021. The direction describes changes to access requirements at some of Isaac Regional Council’s community facilities. Council wishes to advise the community that the collection of contact tracing information via Check-In Qld App, social distancing and good sanitisation practices will continue in accordance with Queensland Health’s directives at all sites.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF USING THE CHECK IN QLD APP?

When a person is diagnosed with COVID-19, Queensland Health will conduct contact tracing. Information collected at the businesses about customers and staff will assist in identifying and contacting the relevant close contacts.

This will assist public health officers to contain and respond to the spread of COVID-19 within the community.

Once you have used the Check In Qld app at one business, the app will remember your details, saving you time in the future and providing easy check-in across other Check In Qld participating venues.

STAY SAFE

Remember to stay safe and help stop the spread.

Maintain a minimum space of 1.5 metres between you and other people that aren’t from your household. Stay home if sick. Get tested if you have COVID-19 symptoms. Clean hands often with soap or sanitiser provided at all our venues.

For information visit www.covid19.qld.gov.au/check-in-qld regarding the Check in Qld app.

If you require further information please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
