Council Service and Facility Open Hours for the Christmas Holidays

Council would like to inform the Moree Plains community of the following services and facilities operating hours for the Christmas period, Saturday (December 25, 2021) to Monday (January 3, 2022). Unless otherwise noted below, Council’s services and facilities, including the Moree Customer Service Centre, will operate as normal until 5:00 pm Friday (December 24, 2021). Services and facilities will recommence as usual from Tuesday (January 4, 2022). For emergency and urgent matters, Council can still be contacted 24/7 on the after-hours phone number 02 6757 3222. This also includes public holidays that occur during the Christmas period.
Waste Services
Kerbside Garbage, Recycling and Organics Collection - All resident bin collections will operate as normal.

Community Services Bank Art Museum Moree (BAAM) Open 10 am to 1 pm Friday (December 24, 2021). Closed Saturday (December 25, 2021) and reopening at reduced hours 10 am to 1 pm Tuesday–Saturday (January 4–8, 2022). Back to normal hours at 10 am Monday (January 10, 2022). Gwydir Day Care and Preschool Closed from 5 pm Thursday (December 23, 2021) and reopening at 7:45 am Monday (January 10, 2022). Moree Community Library and Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre Services Both are closed from 3 pm Friday (December 24, 2021) and are reopening at 10 am Tuesday (January 4, 2022). Moree Regional Airport Will continue to operate as usual. Moree Tourism Closed from 5 pm Friday (December 24, 2021) and reopening at 9 am Wednesday (December 29, 2021). The Visitors Centre is open New Year’s Day (January 1, 2022) and the public holiday (January 3, 2022). Ranger Services Please call the after-hours service on 02 6757 3222 to access Ranger Services or Moree Pound between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm from Saturday (December 25, 2021) until Monday (January 3, 2022). Please also call the after-hours phone number 24/7 for emergencies.
