Season's Greetings

2021 has been a little crazy year!

But through all the challenges, the Northern Beaches has got through it - together!

From all of us to all of you... Merry Christmas!

2021 has been a little crazy, but through all the challenges, twists and turns, we’ve made the most of where we live, supporting each other to get through it.

At Council, we’ve been focused on delivering essential services and supporting our community every day, in every way we can. We delivered some fabulous projects and programs, like Library to You and provided native plants to residents' homes during the lockdown.

Despite spending almost half the year at home, we still managed to host some fun and fabulous events for the community. From a world-class surf pro at North Narrabeen to a month-long festival of Taste of the Beaches, the Sun Run and more.

And nothing stopped us from welcoming 2320 new Aussie citizens to our community.

And, we painted the town a little too, with several beautiful murals and other activations, like this light show!

Early in the year, we hit an extraordinary milestone, switching to 100% renewable energy sources.

And with the help of our volunteers, we've continued to protect and regenerate our natural environment.

We've also delivered some major infrastructure upgrades like playgrounds, sports courts, pathways and even a new pump track for those who love a bit of action.

And speaking of action, local kids were cared for and their busy and creative minds kept entertained with Vacation Care, child care, education activities and lots of fun things to do online.

During all of this, our hearts has been with our local businesses.

We have especially loved supporting them get back on their feet with our Back to Business program.

And we continue to encourage everyone to keep supporting local in every way you can – buy local, eat local and get out and explore local.

A massive thank you to everyone in the community for doing your bit in a challenging year.
