Clermont Water Discolouration Update #8
27 December 2021
Isaac Regional Council is committed to keeping the community informed in relation to water discolouration in Clermont as new information becomes available.
Council’s water team have continued to make process adjustments at the water treatment plant, flushed the network and tested the water throughout the day.
We are providing our test results to Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water and Queensland Health as a precautionary measure to ensure the water being fed back in to the network is of a safe standard.
Changes in the treatment process take several hours before a noticeable difference is seen when residents turn on their taps.
A water tanker was made available for residents today and is on standby should further support be required in the coming days.
If you are a pensioner or vulnerable person who was unable to access the water tanker, please call Council to discuss alternative arrangements.
Clermont residents who are continuing to experience discolouration in their water are urged to call 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227) so our local teams can continue to diagnose any issues in the network. Council is only able to action complaints that have been phoned through.
Our operations and networks teams have been working cautiously and effectively to rectify the discolouration and we thank residents for their patience and understanding during this time.
