Clermont Water Discolouration Update #12, 3 January 2022

We have received no further reports of discolouration.  The water being produced at the water treatment plant and being experienced across town is back to normal with drastically reduced levels of manganese and iron.

While our water team continue to test and monitor the network to ensure the situation is appropriately resolved, the precautionary boiled water alert will remain in effect. We will continue to provide our water test results to the Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water and Queensland Health as a precautionary measure.

A water tanker will be available at Hoods Lagoon 4 - 5 January 2022 from 9:00am to 12:00pm each day for residents to fill up their containers with clear drinking and household water.

Bottled drinking water is available from the above location. To ensure equal access to bottled water it should only be used for drinking and not for household purposes e.g. washing clothes, watering plants or showering.

If you are a pensioner or vulnerable person who is unable to access the water tanker, please call Council to discuss alternative arrangements.

Residents who are returning from holidays or have not used their water for a long period of time are recommended to turn all the cold water taps on within the house until such time there is clear water running from the taps.  That water may be cloudy due to no usage and so flushing will pull through newer water

Clermont residents who are continuing to experience discolouration in their water are urged to call 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227) so our local teams can continue to diagnose any issues in the network. Council is only able to action reports that have been phoned through.

We thank residents for their patience and understanding during this time.
