CLERMONT WATER DISCOLOURATION UPDATE #13 6 JANUARY 2022

Boiled water alert lifted in Clermont Isaac Regional Council advises all residents in Clermont that the Boiled Water Alert has been lifted, with normal consumption able to return.

The water being produced is considered safe for all typical uses including drinking, preparing food and beverages, personal washing, dishwashing, laundry purposes and flushing toilets.

Council has worked closely with Queensland Health over Christmas break to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.

Over the coming days there may still be patches of discolouration and residents who experience this are urged to call 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227) so our local teams can continue to diagnose any issues in the network. Council is only able to action reports that have been phoned through.

Residents who are returning from holidays or have not used their water for an extended period of time are recommended to turn all the cold water taps on within the house until such time there is clear water running from the taps. That water may be cloudy due to lack of use so flushing will pull through newer water

We thank residents for their patience and understanding during this time.
