Public Exhibition of the Huon Valley Draft Local Provisions Schedule

The Huon Valley Council’s Draft Local Provisions Schedule (LPS) will be publicly exhibited from 24 January to 30 March 2022 for public review and comment.
This is part of the State Government led implementation of a single, statewide Tasmanian Planning Scheme (TPS), that replaces current interim municipal planning schemes.
Councils (as planning authorities) are required under the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993, to publicly exhibit their draft LPS for 60 days. During this period any person can make a representation (submission) to Council on the draft LPS.
To help community members become more familiar with the scheme, how they can make a representation and what a representation can be about in order to be valid, the Huon Valley’s Planning team will host a series of information sessions.
