A Total Fire Ban is in place for areas across Perth for today (Thursday 20 January), including Fremantle.

There are a number of things you cannot do during a Total Fire Ban, including:

use a barbecue that uses solid fuel use an outdoor wood-fired pizza oven or stove use a fire pit use a grinder, welder or undertake any other 'hot work' (there are exceptions for businesses) light a campfire burn leaves, garden waste or grass cuttings use fireworks operate a hot-air balloon.
