Library Services Customer Survey – a chance to shape your library

Published on 27 January 2022

The Mildura Rural City Council Libraries team is keen to hear residents’ thoughts on library services and programs they find useful and enjoy using, as well as services which could be added in the future.

The Library Services Customer Survey 2022 is a quick and easy way for the community to help shape the services and programs they can access at our libraries, which stretch from Mildura to Murrayville.

Councillor for Arts, Culture and Heritage Helen Healy said the survey was a valuable way to ensure the region’s libraries continue to meet residents’ needs and expectations.

“Our libraries are among Council’s most commonly used services, which is great to see, but to ensure they remain relevant and accessible to as many people as possible, it’s important we hear from, and listen to the most important people in our region – our community,” Cr Healy said.

“Ultimately, our libraries are there for our community to use, enjoy and benefit from, and we need to tailor the services and programs to ensure they continue to evolve with what our residents would like to see. I’m a regular user of the library and will be sure to complete the survey.”

The survey takes about five minutes to complete and is open from Monday 24 January to Sunday 20 February and is available online or in hard copy. All responses will be anonymous.

To take the survey online visit www.mildura.vic.gov.au/HaveYourSay. Paper copies will be available at all Mildura Rural City Council Libraries and Mildura Rural City Council service centres.

Cr Healy said residents don’t have to be regular users to provide valuable feedback.

“It doesn’t matter whether you visit our libraries on a daily basis, or you just drop in from time to time to print off a document or read a newspaper, we want to hear from you,” she said.
